Wedding Flowers Dublin 2026: A Complete Guide for Couples

June 11, 2026

Wedding flowers are one of the most visible — and most photographed — elements of your day, and choosing the right florist is a decision worth getting right. At Oasis Florists in Terenure, we’ve been creating wedding flowers for Dublin couples for over 30 years, from intimate registry office ceremonies to full church and country house weddings. This guide covers everything you need to know about arranging your wedding flowers in Dublin in 2026: what’s included, when to book, how the process works, and what it’s likely to cost.

To begin a consultation, call us on 01 490 0112 or email info@oasisflorists.ie.

What Does Wedding Floristry Include?

A full wedding floristry commission typically covers four areas, though couples can commission any combination:

Bridal party flowers — the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets or posies, flower girl arrangements, buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen, and corsages for mothers of the couple. Wedding Bouquet Ideas for Dublin Brides 2026

Ceremony flowers — arrangements for the church, registry office, or ceremony venue: altar or top-table arrangements, pew ends, entrance displays, and arch or arbour installations for outdoor and civil ceremonies.

Reception flowers — table centrepieces, top table arrangements, cake flowers, and statement installations for the reception venue.

Additional touches — thank-you bouquets for parents, petals for confetti or aisle scattering, and floral details for the wedding car.

You do not need to commission all of it. Plenty of Dublin couples come to us for bridal party flowers alone, particularly for smaller weddings. There is no minimum commission.

When Should You Book Your Wedding Florist in Dublin?

Six to nine months before your wedding date is the recommended window, and earlier for peak season. In Dublin, peak wedding season runs from late April through September, with May, June, and September the busiest months. Florists — including ourselves — take a limited number of weddings per weekend to protect quality, so popular Saturdays in peak season genuinely do book out.

If your date is closer than six months, contact us anyway. Availability varies, and we will tell you honestly and immediately whether we can take your wedding on.

How the Process Works at Oasis Florists

1. Consultation. We meet — at our Terenure studio, or by phone or video call — and talk through your venue, your colour palette, your dress, the size of your wedding party, and the overall feel you want. Bring photographs, Pinterest boards, fabric swatches, anything that helps us see what you see.

2. Proposal. We prepare an itemised proposal covering every element discussed, with clear pricing. Nothing is vague and nothing is hidden — you’ll know exactly what each element costs and can adjust the scope until the proposal fits your budget.

3. Confirmation and refinement. Once booked, your date is secured. We stay in contact as your plans evolve — colour changes, party size changes, and venue changes happen all the time, and the proposal adjusts with them.

4. The week of the wedding. Your flowers are made fresh in our studio in the days before your wedding. On the morning itself, we deliver and set up — bouquets to wherever you’re getting ready, ceremony and reception flowers installed and checked before anyone arrives.

What Do Wedding Flowers Cost in Dublin?

The honest answer is that it varies enormously with scope — which is precisely why we work from an itemised proposal rather than fixed packages. The main factors that determine cost are:

  • The size of the bridal party — each bouquet, posy, and buttonhole is individually made
  • Flower choices — premium blooms such as peonies and garden roses cost more than seasonal alternatives, and out-of-season flowers cost more than in-season ones
  • Ceremony and reception scale — table count is the biggest single variable; fifteen centrepieces is a materially different commission to five
  • Installations — arches, hanging arrangements, and statement pieces involve significant labour and structure

The single best way to control cost is to work with seasonal Irish and Dutch blooms — we will always tell you what’s in season for your date and where an alternative flower achieves the same look at a lower cost. A consultation costs nothing and you’ll leave it with a clear, itemised picture of what your wedding flowers will cost.

Choosing Flowers for an Irish Wedding: Seasonal Guidance for 2026

Spring (March–May): tulips, ranunculus, anemones, narcissi, and early peonies towards late May. Fresh, romantic palettes suit the season.

Summer (June–August): peak availability — peonies in June, garden roses, hydrangeas, sweet peas, delphiniums, and the full wildflower spectrum. The widest choice of the year.

Autumn (September–October): dahlias, late roses, hypericum berries, and rich foliage. Deep, warm palettes — burgundies, rusts, and golds — are at their best.

Winter (November–February): amaryllis, anemones, hellebores, and structural greenery. Winter weddings suit dramatic whites and deep greens, with candlelight doing half the work.

Dublin’s weather is a genuine planning consideration: for outdoor ceremonies we always build a contingency into the floristry plan, and we’ll advise honestly on which arrangements travel well between an outdoor plan A and an indoor plan B.

Why Dublin Couples Choose Oasis Florists

We are a boutique studio, not a volume operation. We take a limited number of weddings per weekend, every arrangement is made by hand by our own florists, and the person you meet at consultation is involved in making your flowers. We’ve worked in venues across Dublin and the surrounding counties for three decades — city centre hotels, country houses, churches, registry offices, marquees — and that venue knowledge shows up in the practical details: what survives a long day under glass, what wilts in a warm marquee, what photographs well in a dark church.

Frequently Asked Questions: Wedding Flowers Dublin

How far in advance should I book wedding flowers in Dublin? Book your wedding florist six to nine months before your date — earlier for peak-season Saturdays between May and September. Oasis Florists takes a limited number of weddings per weekend, so early enquiry is recommended. For dates closer than six months, call us on 01 490 0112 and we will confirm availability immediately.

How much do wedding flowers cost in Ireland? Costs vary widely with the size of the bridal party, flower choices, the number of reception tables, and any installations. Oasis Florists works from an itemised proposal rather than fixed packages, so you see exactly what each element costs and can adjust the scope to your budget. Consultations are free.

Delivery and setup are included in your proposal.

Can I book Oasis Florists for just a bridal bouquet? Yes. There is no minimum commission. Many couples — particularly for smaller weddings and civil ceremonies — come to us for bridal party flowers only.

What flowers are in season for a summer wedding in Ireland? June to August offers the widest choice of the year: peonies in June, garden roses, hydrangeas, sweet peas, delphiniums, and wildflower varieties. Working with in-season blooms also keeps costs down.

Does Oasis Florists cover venues outside Dublin? Yes. We regularly work at venues in the counties surrounding Dublin, including Wicklow, Kildare, and Meath. Mention your venue at consultation and we will confirm coverage and any delivery considerations.
